A few hours before the start of the NFL Draft, which will be held from April 23 to 25 in Pittsburgh, the city is fine-tuning the last details to receive what is projected to be the largest event in its history, while authorities have announced the closure of several roads.
The first round will be held on Thursday, followed by rounds 2 and 3 on Friday, while rounds 4 to 7 will take place on Saturday. The main activities will be concentrated in Acrisure Stadium, Point State Park and the North Shore area, although there will be events distributed in different parts of the city. The arrival of hundreds of thousands of visitors is expected, which has generated high demand for accommodations. Even so, it has been announced that there is still availability in several hotels.

The authorities have reported that road closures have already been implemented in different areas and that municipal teams are finalizing details on infrastructure projects, with the aim of guaranteeing the proper development of the event and the safety of attendees.
In addition, it has been announced that there will be restrictions on the use of drones during the draft. These will come into force from 11 a.m. on Thursday and will remain throughout the event.
The FBI warned that anyone who operates a drone near the event areas in Pittsburgh will face severe criminal and civil penalties. “For the next three days, we will have a unified command system in place under the control of the NFL,” Cathy Lanier said.

In addition, the authorities reported that all the agencies involved will work in a coordinated manner during the event.
Entry to the draft is free, though fans must pre-register through the NFL OnePass app or on the NFL Draft Access site. Once registration is complete, they will receive a QR code in the app that will allow them to access the event.
Access does not require a physical ticket. Attendees will be able to witness the draft standing in the theater area, while seating will be reserved exclusively for guests. The event will unfold as a festival for all ages, with interactive games, exhibits, autograph sessions, food booths and live music performances.
